1. Is the recommendation of the marketing vice president legal? Is it ethical? Why or why not?

Ans:  Marketing vice president recommends using the less-expensive fur. I think it is illegal because at first the bear was marked as a product a child could play with for years and years and after substituting the fur it’ll last only for eight month. So, it’ll be illegal to change the quality in middle without informing the buyer.

It’ll not be ethical if they didn’t inform the buyer about the change in the product. Because buyer are paying their money expecting the same quality as before and it is

unethical to give them a less quality toy. 

2. Would it be ethical if the firm used the less-expensive simulated fur but did not change its slogan of “A Friend for Life” and did not tell the buyer about the change in the production process? Why or why not?

Ans: If they use the less-expensive simulated fur it would be ethical to use same slogan “A Friend for Life. I don’t think that using of same slogan will be wrong in any case. It is only the slogan, and it doesn’t mean that their product last for life time. If they use the more-expensive fur, toy will last for seven years and in.........click below to read all.

this case also seven year is not the life time. So if it is unethical to use same slogan for the toy manufactured with less-expensive fur than it would also be unethical for more expensive fur toy.   

I don’t think that using of same slogan will be wrong or unethical in any case.

But I think it’ll not be ethical if they didn’t inform the buyer about the change in the quality of the product, because at first they introduced toy with good quality fur. So now buyers are looking for the same quality and they are paying their money expecting the same quality as before.  

3. If you were advising Paula, what would you recommend?

Ans: I would recommend Paula to manufacture two kind of toy.

A toy: Using more-expensive Fur, marked high price.

B toy: Using less-expensive Fur, marked low price.

So now customer will make their own choice. If they want the toys that will last up to seven years than they will pay high price and if they want toy with short period they will pay low price and buy toy B.
